In 2015 we seen Big Sean finally live up to his potential. He’d always had bars, good raps, and great beat selection, but for whatever reason he never was able to compile it all into one great body of work. In 2015 this changed when he released his third LP Dark Sky Paradise. It was a more mature Big Sean than we’d ever heard and he arguably ate Drake on one of the best songs of the year in “Blessings.” He scored a number one album with DSP selling 139,000 units in its first week and the single “I Don’t Fuck With You” was a hit shooting to number 1 on the charts and selling a million copies to date.
With all those accomplishments under his belt, the anticipation for his next album are through the roof. Pusha T says it will be in our stereos before his album, which is slated for an April release. Before 2015 let out Big Sean gave us the track “What A Year” featuring Pharrell and it’s an absolute banger. Sean sounds as polished as he’s ever sounded and we can expect another great album from the Detroit spitter.
