Snoh Aalegra has worked with some great people for her upcoming EP Don’t Explain, and it’s all a reflection of just how smashing how voice is. The singer announced the project last week with a first single “Under the Influence,” but now she’s back with a second called “In Your River.” This one was produced by Christian Rich and showcases even more of Snoh’s exquisite, melancholy soul.
To get a better picture, here’s what she had to say about the new EP:
“The album is basically based on a romance that I had that was very intense. The highs were really high and the lows were low. The album is called, Don’t Explain. What I mean by that is that sometimes you are in a situation where it feels good for you and maybe you can’t explain it to other people. Its just a feeling that you know and that you feel is right and there’s no reason that you always have to explain yourself…Just like the relationship, [the EP] is very dramatic. I feel like the strings represent all of the drama and ups and downs.”
Don’t Explain arrives next Friday, April 8th, with contributions from No I.D., James Fauntleroy, DJ Dahi, Boi-1da and Frank Dukes.
