Sylvan LaCue has been dropping a bunch of new music lately, including the excellent “Best Me” and its video. This week, though, he’s diving back into last year’s Far from Familiar album to share a video for “Heavenly.” The visual, directed by KeJuan Blake, celebrates the one-year anniversary of the project, and finds LaCue wandering down an empty street at night.
“We shot this video in the middle of Miami during my travels in 2016,” he says. “I wanted to keep things dark and simple. When I wrote ‘Heavenly,’ I wanted to express the duality of my ego and the urgency of my need for God’s presence in my life. It was important to make sure the visual emphasized that duality.”
