‘T-Wayne’ coming soon?
T-Pain and Lil Wayne created some of the greatest music together circa 2008-09. The pair collaborated on such songs as the 2x platinum hit single “Got Money,” “Can’t Believe It” and a slew of other tracks in that time. The two mentioned singles were enough to get fans excited for a joint project from Pain and Wayne. That’s when they formed as the rapper and singer duo T-Wayne. It eventually lead them to working on said project and completed it, but the powers that be forced the project to either be shelved or they waited to long to deliver.
Earlier today, T-Pain hit up social media and said that he was feeling “reeeeeaaaaalll spontaneous” and shared some hand drawn artwork of his and Lil Wayne’s face merged as one. Of course that has gotten the people talking, because this as T-Pain put it is “the missing page in the history book.” In a later tweet T-Pain revealed that these are “lost files from ’09” and that he’s tired of the songs sitting on his hard drive. With the hashtag “FreeC5” at the end.
Right now it is uncertain if T-Pain will let the project go, but if we’re so lucky to hear Teddy P and Weezy F in their prime, we’re all for it. Those times of their songs together were certainly timeless. Hopefully this project has more luck of releasing than Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana’s I Can’t Feel My Face.
