We didn’t know what to expect from Ted Park on this one based on the title, but he’s coming on the positive tip with it to inspire folks who may need it. On “Ugly,” he’s talking to everyone who may feel inadequate with their appearance, as he explains some of his flaws in himself and why he continues on the grind, regardless. The song starts out playful and melodic at first, but he kicks the flow in after a few minutes and towards the end.
If anything, for those who feel ugly in one way or another, should relate.
