The Black Eyed Peas are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year with their yet-to-be titled seventh studio album. After getting a new taste of their new sounds earlier this year during the 2015 NBA Playoffs with “Awesome,” will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo are here today with premiere of their new single “Yesterday.” The new track and video, directed by Pasha Shapiro and Alissa Torviven, join the trio in a record store, where they recreate classic hip hop album covers, that are also sampled throughout the new single.

Some of he samples included are N.W.A.’s “Straight Outta Compton,” Onyx’s “Slam,” LL Cool J’s “Rock The Bells,” ODB’s “Shimmy Shimmy Ya,” and Wu-Tang’s “Killa Bees.”

The group premiered the single and video on Apple Music today. You can watch it there, by clicking here.
