The Joe Budden Podcast Is Headed to Spotify

If you thought the REVOLT TV deal was the only thing Joe Budden had in the pipeline, you are wrong my friend. Jumpoff Joe Beezy is out here making moves and his latest is for The Joe Budden Podcast, which now has a home at Spotify starting September 12.

Even better, the crew will be heard twice a week as a result of this deal, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. You will be able to find the audio exclusively on the streaming giant, with video versions on YouTube two days later.

Here’s what Joe officially had to say about the news:

I’d like to thank Spotify for this tremendous opportunity to take The Joe Budden Podcast and podcasting in general to heights never before seen. Our partnership is extremely humbling for me and adds yet another chapter to a career full of plot twists. This highlights a new way of thinking & a corporate “head nod” to the shift taking place before our very eyes. I’m even more thrilled to embark on this journey with some of my closest friends & ppl i love. The podcast has been a great amplifier for my voice but fast growing into a platform for more & more artists to share their own personal feelings/stories/experiences. I’m anxious to get started & optimistic about what’s to come. While companies are spending endless amounts of dollars and research to find out what consumers want, how they want it & who they want it from, we’re in an space where all you have to do is listen to the ppl. Again, thank you Spotify for listening.

To announce the news, Joe, Mal and Rory went into a little walk down memory (as you can see below), talking about all of the ups and downs it took to get to this point on the show. The screaming matches outside on the parking lot, the frustration of companies not seeing their vision when shopping the show to them, the power of saying no to situations that may have hindered the content in the log run.

Joe talked about his timeline around the time of his rap retirement, start as a media person and some of the behind the scenes stuff he had to deal with just to get the bag for the team and put them in the best situation possible.

After toasting to success, they jokingly stressed that this new venture will probably get fucked in the process, so expect failure. Budden will take full responsibility.

Congratulations to The Joe Budden Podcast for their continued prosperity. Salute.
