Nicki makes a shocking move. . .

At the top of the weekend, Doja Cat released her official “Say So” remix, which featured Nicki Minaj. While we didn’t put too much stock into the track, outside of the fact that it was a Onika remix, she took time to shock the world. In the track, Minaj said “Why you talkin’ ’bout who body fake? With all them fillers in your face, you just full of hate. That real ass ain’t keep your nigga home.”
Many people thought those lines were directed at Wendy Williams; but Nicki immediately shot down those rumors and said she had no problems with Wendy. We knew who she was talking about, due to the fact that she was allegedly set to originally appear on the original “Savage” remix. Something happened, where Nicki was allegedly removed from the track, and replaced with Beyoncé, allegedly. The collaboration with Barbie and Stallion, was going to be a follow-up to their “Hot Girl Summer” track from 2019.
In the new release, Beyoncé dropped lines saying “If you wanna see some real ass, baby, here’s your chance.” Music insiders knew who Bey was talking about, considering some private behind-the-scenes happenings were going down. Nicki made the shocking move, with the outro of the cut, which many would consider career suicide in a no-win situation.
In year’s past, Nicki and Bey had a friendly relationship, which one party felt was beyond the bag. This dates back to Nicki bringing Meek Mill around The Carters, and seeing those former friends distance themselves from her. There was already disdain towards Beyoncé, for not wanting to be associated with certain people Nicki tried to bring into the fold.
After watching Nicki throw Meek under the bus, while he was fighting for his freedom; Beyoncé immediately showed support for him – which we didn’t pay too much attention to. It’s unclear if Nicki will detail everything herself; but losing the major remix feature for “Savage” should have her talking.
We have to give Nicki kudos for having the balls to challenge Bey; as she made it clear that the lines weren’t made at Wendy and let the rumors of Mrs. Carter float.
Considering Nicki is gearing up for promotions for her upcoming next album, we’re curious how the project will sound that she’s in go-mode.
Since she just made an immediate response clap-back to the biggest person in music; Nicki has our attention, willing to risk everything.
