FREE STREAM: The Weeknd – My Dear Melancholy

Just seven days removed from the release of his My Dear Melancholy EP, first week sales for The Weeknd’s latest project have officially been revealed. Today, Billboard has announced that Abel X.O. has scored his third no. 1 project, earning 169,000 equivalent album sales. This marks the biggest debut for an R&B release of any artist, since his 2016 Starboy album, which was in follow-up to 2015’s Beauty Behind the Madness. Over that total, 68,000 were in traditional album sales, with the rest through streaming and track equivalent. With rumors of the X.O. writer readying an official album for later this year, he gets to celebrate another milestone before summer.
