Leading up to the release of their comrade’s major debut album Oxymoron, Top Dawg Entertainment joins ScHoolboy Q to talk his new project and long-journey to the ears of masses. SZA, Jay Rock, Isaiah Rashad and Kendrick Lamar add in their two-cents about not only the album, but Q as an artist and having the capability of creating story telling music in comparison to putting together rhymes for radio and club single’s.

Speaking of which, Q goes on to discuss fully getting a understanding of his influences (50 Cent, Jigga and Escobar) material when he first started recording music in the late 00s. Along with various highlights from his recent Los Angeles listening session at the Sonos Studio, they discuss the album’s natural creation process that wasn’t rushed over the last two years; while staying away from chasing forced records. Watch “Life & Rhymes” after the jump, and be sure to support Oxymoron in stores everywhere and iTunes right now.
