Punch album in late 2016?
Following the release of Kendrick Lamar’s surprise project untitled unmastered last week, Top Dawg Entertainment is keeping its word of supplying their listeners with more content throughout the year. Terrence ‘Punch’ Henderson, who’s been seen over the last year and a half dropping beta tracks to get a feel of the general public, has plans to release an official debut project.
In an interview with Billboard, the co-president of TDE went to say, “I think I’mma do a project for sure. I think I’m going to finally finish it because I write a lot and I record every so often. I think I’m just gonna go ahead and knock it out at this point. I’m starting to get that itch more and more. Before, it was like, ‘OK, I write a little bit, I can rap. Let me put it down for fun, it’s cool. At this point, it’s starting to turn into a burning. I really want to do it now.”
Managing upcoming projects from ScHoolboy Q, SZA and Ab-Soul as a label leader is his main focus, but we’re curious how close he is to finalizing the creation process for his first album.
