A new Black Hippy album in 2017, though?

With March right around the corner, it looks like Top Dawg Entertainment is finally ready to begin their 2016 campaign, as a slew of new projects are in the works. Last year, we saw roll-outs from original members Kendrick Lamar’s classic To Pimp a Butterfly and Jay Rock’s 90059 project; but the CEO of TDE (Anthony Tiffith) has outlined camp plans for the rest of the year.

As ScHoolboy Q awaits sample clearances on his Groovy Tony album, it looks like Ab-Soul will get his wishes of checking back into the game later this year for his next project. Isaiah Rashad and SZA were also listed on the board, revealing they’re still in the creative music making process, with Rock listed in the ER – after a life-threatening motorcycle accident from a few weeks ago.

However, the eye raiser of the social media post was the possibility of the Black Hippy album arriving in 2017 and hinting at new artists being the label as well. Take a look at the entire list of TDE plans above and let us know in the comments which projects you’re looking forward to the most.
