Sample clearance issues strike again.
Travis Scott‘s debut album Rodeo might be two years old, but it spawned one of his highest-charting singles in “Antidote.” The three time platinum selling single is in the headlines today after Eastbound, co-producer of the hit single, revealed that Scott and the labels in which he’s signed to (Epic Records & Grand Hustle), had to cough up 50% of the record’s composer share for them to clear the sampled used in the song. That’s Lee Fields & The Expressions “All I Need,” produced by Leon Michels, for those who didn’t know.
