Last month, Troy Ave was formally charged with attempted murder after the Irving Plaza incident, that left his best friend Ronald McPhatter dead. While he’s still being denied bail nearly six weeks after the event, Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Ushir Pandit-Durant ruled that the rapper, Roland Collins, has been cleared of any first-degree murder charges tracing back to his friend.
However, according to emerging documents from the case, Ave has been charged for one count of attempted second degree murder and court counts of criminal possession of a weapon. Troy’s lawyer, Scott Leemon, opened up about his client defending himself as a victim and is planning to ask for bail later this week at his next hearing. We’ll keep you updated on the case.
