You can’t get any more obscure than naming your track “SB-01,” but Unknown Mortal Orchestra has done it. To add more mysteriousness to the mix, the song is 22 minutes in length, spanning in what seems like multiple songs. Nobody knows what it is, why it was released on Christmas or where it’s from, though.
The composition is one long instrumental, which seems to weave in and out of different sounds and moods, giving it a spacial atmospheric vibe. The type of shit that we imagine NASA hears when they’re out in the galaxy exploring new horizons.
