We were really big fans of Unknown Mortal Orchestra‘s self-titled debut, but we must admit, we sort of slept on II. Now, 6 months after the release of their sophomore album, they return with an acoustic EP titled The Blue Record.
On the project, the band strips down a few of their II-featured songs and cover the likes of Beck and The Dirty Projectors, to show a different side to them, one that is not really heard on their previous two albums. The result is incredible if you’re a fan of more raw sounding tracks that are led by only a guitar and vocals. It’s relaxing.
