Vince Staples has officially signed a deal with Motown Records via Blacksmith Recordings, his manager Corey Smyth’s label.
The Long Beach rapper has moved from Def Jam Recordings to Motown, which is on Capitol Music Group. However, he’ll still be under Universal Music Group umbrella because Capitol is owned by them.
Smyth founded the Blacksmith brand in 1991, and has the likes of Kilo Kish, Ted When and Benn Good on its roster.
