“I Want You” vs. “Slow Motion”
Last night was the premiere of SPIKE’s Lip Sync Battle, hosted by LL Cool J. The show was inspired by Jimmy Fallon‘s epic battle on The Tonight Show and he actually appeared on the undercard duel going up against Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
In the main battle, Golden Globe winners Common and John Legend were pitted against each other for a two round match. In the first round, it was a battle of old and new, as Com’ picked Jackson 5 to perform and Legend took it to the Dirty South with a Juvenile classic. Considering the microphone was in Common‘s face and the way John owned his track, we have to give the edge to the R&B singer in the first round.
“All Night Long” vs. “U Can’t Touch This”
In the second round, things were kicked up a notch as the two got into their costumes. It was Lionel Richie versus MC Hammer and things got hilarious, but in the end, Common took home the belt. Who do you think should have won?
