Sting In A WWE Ring

Since the foreclosure of World Championship Wrestling in 2001, the icon Sting had gone nearly 15 years without a major match in North America. While spending sometime in the Florida-based TNA Wrestling brand in recent years, the Venice Beach face-painted star had been limited to an underground viewership from fans.

Last year, after years of deliberating and avoiding the obvious imminent, Sting agreed to a legends deal – which would soon translate into an actual active roster contract. At the big event, the WWE Universe was treated to Sting’s first official appearance in the McMahon ring ever, in his no disqualification match against Triple H. Although the stinger was unsuccessful in defeating his opponent for the night, it was historic finally seeing him on the biggest stage in the sport of professional wrestling.
