Not All Pitchers Are Good With A Bat
Sometimes it’s fun to watch a pitcher take his chances up at the plate, because you never know what could happen. A lot could happen, actually. As we’ve seen from some decent hitting pitchers such as Madison Bumgarner, who hit 4 home-runs last year, knocked in 15 runs and finished the season with a .258 batting average. Not every pitcher can produce like that though, so its not always best to even have a pitcher in the lineup. They might get lucky from time to time, but you’d rather leave the hitting to the players who are paid to hit.
