Let Harrison Barnes Leave in Free Agency & Sign A Consistent Shooter

As the NBA Finals progressed, Harrison Barnes became the official scapegoat for the Golden State Warriors not repeating as champions. While our blame has gone to both Steph Curry and Steve Kerr, Barnes didn’t do anything to improve his chances of landing a maximum contract this summer.

At the start of the season, he turned down a $64 million extension with the Warriors; but now we’re sure he wishes he could have that same deal back. To make things even worse, Golden State played better with him off the court throughout the entire series, including witnessing him attribute two of the worst shooting performances in the history of post-season play.

With Kevin Durant privately discussing a possible plan to come and join their team, parting ways with Harrison could open the door right up for the team to have a second superstar. Jamal Crawford, who played with Golden State in 2009 could also be a target this summer, as we’re sure he’d like to win a championship before the end of his career.
