Adam Silver Explains Magic Johnson’s Tampering Fine, New All-Star Draft

The message from Adam Silver is clear: “Stop talking about players on other teams.” He said multiple times during this interview on ESPN’s The Jump and has stressed it before, as far as NBA executives are concerned. Of course, the question was because of Magic Johnson‘s thoughts on Giannis Antetokounmpo, after being asked about him in an interview.

The league wound up fining Magic $50,000 for what he said.

This isn’t the first time either. This happened before after Johnson went on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and talked about recruiting Paul George to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Silver also spoke on the new NBA All-Star format and how the draft may potentially be televised in the future. He says it’s still early in the new format, but they can always revisit with new ideas as the years go on. The commissioner ended his interview with the injuries going on this season and how that affects the NBA.
