Knicks “star”, Amar’e Stoudemire has been working hard all summer long polishing his game with hopes of returning back to the NBA in tip-top shape. After his most recent scuffle in a locker-room area with a defenseless fire extinguisher that left Stoudemire’s hand lacerated; he’s been wanting to improve AND expand his game for disappointing the Knicks fans last spring in their first round playoff loss to the World Champion Miami Heat in 5 games.
Who better to go to for help and guide him at expanding his post moves than Hakeem “The Dream” Olajuwon. In this video, Amare works on his game extensively to improve the weaker areas of his offensive game with a tutorial from Olajuwon.
The Dream’s worked with NBA legends LeBron James and Kobe Bryant as well as Dwight Howard and most recently JaVale McGee. Stoudemire, who’s known to not be the best defending big man given his size (sadly), is expected to return to training camp in a few weeks with an reloaded offensive arsenal of moves.
The Knicks have made great off-season moves thus far with the key additions Marcus Camby, Kurt Thomas, and Ronnie Brewer surrounding the offensive-prone (only) Carmelo and Amare with blue-collard players. Only time will tell Knicks fans if the newly revamped offensive game for Amare and the newly added defensive pieces will be enough for your team to be in the “elite” discussions come next May.
