Ben Simmons Discusses 76ers Expectations This Season, Fitting In with New Roster

The pressure is high for the Philadelphia 76ers right now. After acquiring Jimmy Butler and Tobias Harris through trades, the team is in win-now mode and are expected to give any team in the Eastern Conference a run for their money.

ESPN’s Doris Burke sat down with Ben Simmons to talk to him about an array of topics surrounding the team and the season as things head to the playoffs.

In terms of fit with Joel Embiid and the other guys on the squad, Simmons said that it’s all about film. He has to study and make sure he learns how each player plays on the court. He also said that he loves playing Embiid because it’s the start of their career together and it seems like they both want to stay in Philly to win championships for the city.

Besides the Boston Celtics, it seems like the Sixers can do some damage deep in the playoffs, but a big part of that will be keeping that third seed in the East. That way they don’t face a scary team like the Pacers or Celtics on their path to what could be the Eastern Conference Finals.
