Rajon Rondo broke his thumb and this series, which looked all but over at that point, has turned around to the Boston Celtics favor. The Chicago Bulls have lost three in a row and are now staring at a 3-2 series deficit, with momentum going the opposite direction.
Rondo has been trying to do what he could off the bench, but his defense is what the team has been missing the most thus far. There has been no on to contain Isaiah Thomas.
Coach Rondo Giving the Team a pep talk
Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade tried to keep the Bulls in the game but Thomas, Al Horford and Avery Bradley were too much for Chicago in the second half.
Wade finished with 26 points and 11 rebounds, while Butler only had 14 points and Robin Lopez adding 14 points of his own along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bradley and Thomas both had 24 points, and Horford added 21 points to the Celtics starters. Kelly Olynyk also contributed 14 points and 5 rebounds off the bench.
Game 6 will be played at the United Center in Chicago tomorrow.
