Breaking News: Brooklyn Nets Fire Head Coach Avery Johnson

According to multiple NBA league sources (Chris Broussard™), The Nets have released Avery Johnson.

Yahoo Sports, NBA columnist Adrian Wojnarowski has just announced the Nets have fired their head coach, Avery Johnson. The Nets started the season at 11-4 but have since lost 10 of their last 13 games now breaking even at .500 with a record of 14-14. As Avery Johnson was named Eastern Conference “Coach of the Month” for November, everything in Brooklyn became nightmare for the front office as the team dealt with injuries to the front-court tandem Brook Lopez, Kris Humphries and Gerald Wallace.

The blame could go to Avery, but the team wasn’t completely recovered from injuries as the month of December showed the nagging pains of the team with multiple losses during the month to even star point guard, Deron Williams publicly expressing his dissatisfaction for the Nets offense to media last week turning the Nets into the “Jets” of the basketball side of things in the city.

Nets assistant coach, P.J. Carlesimo has been announced as the teams interim coach.
