Brooklyn Nets Featured On This Years “The Association”

With the 2013 NBA season looming in just under 6 weeks from now, today NBA TV announced newly revamped Nets of Brooklyn to be featured on their upcoming season for their “The Association” series. This marks the first year of the Nets in Brooklyn as they will start training camp in less than two weeks then have their first pre-season game October 13th against the Philadelphia 76ers then have their regular season opener home against cross-town rival New York Knicks.

Brooklyn didn’t land Superman Jr., but acquired Joe Johnson and re-signed arguably the best point guard in the league with Deron Williams. Along with general manager Billy King and head coach Avery Johnson, owners Mikhail Prokhorov and Jay-Z have already made the Nets one of the most talked about teams in the NBA but have plans to become a championship contender at all cost.

Seeing an entirely new franchise, players, management and city should be very intriguing to watch before the we get to see our favorite teams play on the hardwood next month.
