The pressure continues mounting
When your team is undefeated, every other team wants a shot at the throne to break the streak. Today, the Carolina Panthers overcame the odds and finished the New Orleans Saints at the Super Dome, in a game that could have gone either way.
At times it felt like the Panthers were getting ready to lose the game, then Cam Newton and company came up with a big play to keep them in the game.
With 497 yards of total offense, it was meant to be for the only undefeated team in the NFL, with Killa Cam throwing five touchdowns on the day (for the second time this year). Tedd Ginn Jr. dropped more than his fair share of balls but secured two touchdowns, one of which came at a critical time in the 4th quarter.

While the game went back and forth for much of the second half, the Saints had the opportunity to at least tie it with time running out, but with no timeouts and the clock running down, Drew Brees couldn’t muster up the miracle to get them in contention.
The win for Carolina may have been ugly, but it’s a win. And it’s what they’ve been doing all season.
