Cyborg debuts this spring at UFC 198!

At last, after many years of waiting of waiting, Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Justino has agreed to join UFC. The now 30-year-old fighter has a long-standing rivalry with company cover girl, Ronda Rousey, as the two have engaged in a public war of words over the last three years. During that time, Cyborg fought in MMA company, Invicta Fighting Championships, holding their featherweight title since 2013.

UFC President, Dana White, has now inked her to a fight deal, where she will first compete this May 14th against Leslie Smith at UFC 198 in Curitiba, Brazil – which will also take place at 140 pounds.

As Ronda continues to call Justino out for alleged performance enhancement drug usage, both former championship Holly Holm and current UFC bantamweight champion Miesha Tate have said they would accept any Cyborg challenges at a 140-pound catch weight.

While the dream match between Cyborg and Rousey isn’t expected to happen anytime soon, the next few months will tell fans a lot if the two fighters can get convincing wins.
