The Golden State Warriors versatile forward stays in Dub Nation!
This summer, the Larry O’Brien resides in The Bay Are for the first time in over 40 years. With injuries to Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love last post-season; the Cleveland Cavaliers felt they would’ve won the NBA Finals with a completely healthy team. If the Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green didn’t need motivation to prove themselves next season against upgraded rosters throughout the entire league, Kyrie’s bold claims promoted the versatile stretch forward. Today, Green ended speculation of his departure from Lob City to formally announce he had agreed to a new five-year, $82 million contract – after declining to meet with other teams past last week.
Heading into the upcoming 2016 season, Golden State isn’t the favorites following off-season moves from both the San Antonio Spurs and Cleveland Cavaliers. Alongside the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Warriors have an extremely large chip on their shoulders for those thinking their championship run was a fluke.
