No shocker here

After getting the Cleveland Cavaliers organization to sign all their players in the off-season, LeBron James has come back from vacation and inked a deal with his hometown team worth $46.9 million over two years. The kicker? The second year of the contract of the deal has a player option.

LBJ is obviously looking out for his best interests as the salary caps are set to increase thanks to the upcoming TV deals with the NBA, signing short term and it shouldn’t be looked at as him trying to skip out on Cleveland after a year or two. This is solely based on salary and coinciding with the increase in cap space in the coming years.

Cleveland just signed Kevin Love to a max contract, brought back Tristan Thompson, Iman Shumpert and are reportedly trading for Jamal Crawford.
