A Dumb Foul Gives Timberwolves Win Over Warriors in OT

When the Golden State Warriors get hot, they catch up to a large deficit with the quickness. At points in this game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Dub Nation looked out of it, but those three’s started raining down and flipped the whole script on the outcome of the game.

Late in the fourth, Steph Curry hit some clutch three’s to put the Warriors behind only one point with under a minute remaining in the game.

Draymond Green then got a steal and was fouled, but only made one of two free throws to have the game tied at 115-115 with only 21 seconds remaining.

As time winded down, Andrew Wiggins tried to be the hero but he bricked two shots (after an offensive rebound) and sent the game into overtime.

In OT, the Wolves went on an 11-2 run and it seemed like the game was in the bag. That is until Curry started raining triples again. He sank two that put Golden State down three with only four seconds remaining.

Kevin Durant then went for a shot and made it, but officials said he was fouled before the shot and waived it off. Though you can argue against the call, on a normal day, KD would have gotten the shooting motion with it. For whatever reason, it seemed like the refs were going against the Warriors this game.

Either way, it was Steph to the rescue, as he hit a ridiculous contested shot from the corner.

With the game headed into double overtime, the ref (once again) called one against Golden State after all the taunting from Curry. Durant was said to have fouled Karl-Anthony Towns away from the ball while rolling to the basket.

He sank one free throw and it was game over.
