Just when you thought the Philadelphia 76ers were going to get into the double digit column on the wins side, the Denver Nuggets spoiled those plans.
Last night at the Pepsi Center in Denver, the Nuggets had 3.1 seconds to hold off the visiting Sixers, who were up 103-101. The in-bounds pass from the other end landed in Emmanuel Mudiay‘s hands and he dribbled his way to the middle of court and tossed up the shot for the wild finish. Mudiay even bobbled the dribble and threw up the prayer from Steph Curry land and drained it at the buzzer.
The rookie point guard finshed the game with 27 points and 11 rebounds.
Phildelphia now drops to a 9-63 record and now head to Portland to take on the Trail Blazers on Saturday night. They have all but sealed the No. 1 pick in the upcoming draft.
