ESPN’s Stuart Scott Passes Away at 49

R.I.P. Stuart Scott

Longtime anchor at ESPN anchor, Stuart Scott passed away at the age of 49 early Sunday morning. He’s survived by loving family members and most of all his two daughters – Taelor, 19, and Sydni, 15. Since being diagnosed initially with cancer in November 2007, the Chicago sportscaster fought hard for 7 years and was honored last summer at the 2014 ESPYS, giving a very moving speech that will forever be the definition of what he stood for. While still suffering with liver complications and kidney failure, Stuart made an appearance at the show immediately following four surgeries in seven days, just a week prior. Above, you can watch ESPN’s 15-minute compilation tribute to arguably their greatest sports caster ever. He managed to merge the urban way of talking with sports like no other and changed Sportscenter, catapulting the show into what it is today. He has been imitated but never duplicated.

You will be forever missed Stuart, R.I.P.
