Floyd Mayweather & Manny Pacquiao Officially Announce Rematch, Fight Date

What’s the point. . .

Following Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin’s fake confrontation yesterday, Floyd Mayweather Jr. was in Tokyo, Japan to shock the world. In a face-to-face public meeting with Manny Pacquiao, Floyd announced he was coming back in December. In the original fight, Floyd made $220 million from the May 2015 bout, including posting the infamous $100 million check.

This year, Floyd is expected to make an even higher purse, citing that he’s going to make get another nine-figure payday. Considering his original deal with UFC fell through, Money unfortunately can’t shy away from the spotlight and could come back to haunt him down the line. While there’s no way he’ll lose the upcoming match, look for the 50-and-0 fighter to reveal the official date and under card.
