Giannis Antetokounmpo Says He Doesn’t Care About MVP, Talks Bucks Season

This NBA season, there have been two names that analysts and pundits have had on the tip of their tongue when it comes to the MVP race: James Harden and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Each deserve it in their own regard, but The Greek Freak is a new name that isn’t talked about as much when it comes to the award.

During All-Star Weekend, Giannis sat with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols to talk about the Milwaukee Bucks season and what he’d do during his free agency. He says that if he were Anthony Davis, he wouldn’t talk about his plans with the media and would stay more quiet. He also spoke on how his upbringing in Greece has shaped him and how he will always remain true to himself.

Nichols also asked Antetokounmpo about the young version of himself and what he thought of young Greek Freak when looking back at his footage.

When it came to the MVP award, Giannis said he doesn’t care much about it and he rather see the team win and cares more about the bigger picture with the Bucks when it comes to the playoff race and NBA championship.
