Giannis Antetokounmpo Could Sign with Warriors If He Hits Free Agency?

The NBA has started training camps as the season looms in about a month or so. Before teams step out on the court, the league circles are already talking.

After that crazy offseason where there was more player movement than we’ve ever seen before, analysts and critics are speculating about Giannis Antetokounmpo and what he’s going to do for his free agency next season. So far, he hasn’t signed a SUPER MAX extension with the Milwaukee Bucks, but one team that is being spoken for to swoop on his services is the Golden State Warriors.

Of course, there is no concrete evidence that the Greek Freak wants to leave his current situation, but don’t be surprised if more chatter like this starts popping up throughout the season, depending on how both teams are doing on the court.

Could you see Giannis pull a Kevin Durant and sign with Dub Nation, though?

UPDATE: An anonymous Milwaukee executive responds to the rumors with a statement to Heavy, saying the Warriors are not a worry for them:

“Keeping Giannis, it’s a focus obviously. But fighting the Warriors is not a focus. The Warriors are not the concern in the least. They’d have a long way to go to get him to Golden State, they’d have to give away a lot. He has never given any indication that he wants to leave Milwaukee. So a lot of that stuff, it is more chatter than anything.”
