Highlight Of The Night: 76ers Erase Deficit, Even Series

Philadelphia 109, Chicago 92
Series Tied 1-1

Last Saturday, Bulls guard Derrick Rose tore his ACL and was told he would have to miss the remainder of the season due to surgery. Before the game, Chicago fans greeted Rose to a big ovation during a game ball presentation tribute, but there little to celebrate after the game. The Bulls who are accustomed to playing without Rose came out strong in the first half playing as if their star PG was in the lineup. Joakim Noah even had a standout night scoring a Bulls high 21 points and 8 boards; but the tables turned at the start of the 3rd quarter. The 76ers, focused and ready to erase their 8 point halftime deficit, came out strong in the 3rd quarter going on a 12-0 run. By the end of the 3rd quarter with the 76ers up 14 points, the Bulls were ready to waive the white flag. Jrue Holiday had a game high 26 points with 11 of 15 shooting. 76ers just simply outplayed the best defensive team in the league shooting 59% and even out-rebounding them 38 to 32. Home-court now shifts back to Philadelphia as the 76ers will look to take both games to up a commanding 3-1 series lead.

Game 3 is scheduled this Friday on ESPN with a tip-off set for 8:00 pm (ET).
