Highlight Of The Night: Clippers Rally From 27 Down To Upset Grizzlies

LA Clippers 99, Memphis 98
Clippers lead 1-0

Last night, the Clippers completed a rally from 21 points down in the 4th quarter to defeat the Grizzlies the matching largest playoff comeback in NBA history. Chris Paul made the game tying free throws with just 24 seconds left before Grizzlies forward Rudy Gay missed the game winning shot to avoid the embarrassment. Los Angeles’s 2nd unit was the real story of the game as Reggie Evans carried them back early in the 4th quarter before Chris Paul pleaded with coach Vinny Del Negro to be inserted back into the game. Along with Reggie Evans intense defense and tangibles, Nick Young also contributed 19 points hitting a key go ahead 3 pointer to give the clippers the lead.

That was the good news, unfortunately the Clippers will be without Caron Butler the remainder of the playoffs as he suffered a fracture in his left hand.

Win or Go Home!
