Terrence Ross Flies Like a Boss To Win 2013 Sprite Slam Dunk Contest.
For the 2013 edition of the 2013 Sprite NBA Slam Dunk Contest, we saw an implication of an all new “East vs. West” battle series for the dunkers, with the two players have to top totals from each conference squaring off in the dunk finals. As the Utah Jazz’s, Jeremy Evans and Toronto’s biggest bawse, Terrence Ross finally got the crowd excited for a competitive dunk finals for the first time in years as the two did not disappoint.
The defending champion, Jeremy Evans would use former Jazz great 7’4 center Mark Eaton as he would catch the ball from Eaton sitting under the rim for a fake reverse dunk wowing the crowd. Terrence would have to answer back putting on Vince Carter’s famous number 15 Raptors jersey in tribute for a reverse 360 win-mill dunk thrown off the side off the cylinder. Terrence would put the finishing touches of the dunk contest by bringing out a kid to jump over in a between the legs power slam getting a consecutive 50 from the stars, crowd and voters making everyone in awe in only one attempt tried.
Surprisingly, the outcome was closer than expected with Ross winning 58% of the vote to get the 2K13 edition of the dunk contest trophy. You can check after the jump for a video recap of the event, full event and single videos from contestants.
