Earlier today after consulting with a doctors in Los Angeles, Magic Center Dwight Howard was told he has a herniated disc and was advised not to partake in any basketball related activities for the next 10 to 15 days. Howard first experienced aggravations in his lower back late last month, but continued to play through it until last Saturday when the the pain just became unbearable.
The Magic, who have lost 7 of their last 9 games, currently hold the sixth seed in the eastern conference standings; but are only 3 games ahead of the Knicks & Sixers. Orlando has seven games remaining in which five will be road games. Finishing the season without their star AND making the playoffs will be a difficult task for the other Orlando Magic players.
