Booker to the Knicks. . .
Over the last few months, information has been emerging our way, that Devin Booker is trying to force a trade to the New York Knicks. Now, affiliates of Klutch Sports are helping run and rebrand the Knicks, for in our opinion, an eventual purchase. We’ve broken the story with Booker looking to move from the Phoenix Suns.
However, Draymond Green, member of Klutch Sports, took things further this weekend with more speculation. He blatantly said that Devin was wasting his with the Suns and said he didn’t care if it was considered tampering. The NBA immediately fined Draymond, and we’re pretty sure he wasn’t fazed by the situation.
Leon Rose, the President of the New York Knicks, is Devin Booker’s former agent and right-hand friend of LeBron James. Considering all parties involved have been in good terms, Draymond has also been on the outs with the Golden State Warriors. We’ve been told in recent months, that the Warriors players and front office, believes he’s a distraction to the team.
Booker, who just signed a 5-year super-max deal last year, is under contract until 2024. The Suns can flat out keep him in town; but James Jones, former teammate of LeBron, is the current general manager of Phoenix.
Tom Thibodeau has been adamant on not drafting LaMelo Ball and keeping RJ Barrett, as the only safe player on the entire team. Now that the team has cap space, young talent and a lottery pick this fall; they can actually reshape their immediate future in the fall.
