It’s been a tough offseason for Isaiah Thomas. Not only did he get traded from the team he gave it all to, but he had to deal with the loss of his sister and had to recover from a hip injury. Now that the dust has settled and he’s ready to make his return to the court, he sat down with Rachel Nichols to talk about what he’s got to look forward to.
In his talk with ESPN, he talks about his relationship with Danny Ainge (he hasn’t talked to him since he was traded), rehab through his injury, building trust of the Cleveland Cavaliers organization and never doubting his capabilities.
He’s always had to fight against doubt, but he knows that when he comes back to the court, he’s going to be just as good as he was before and will prove he’s a max contract player.
