James Harden Speaks on Scoring Streak, Rockets Season & MVP Race

Not only has it been an individually successful year for James Harden, but it’s had its share of ups and downs. The Houston Rockets started out very slow and through injuries, the team has been pushing to make it out of the tough Western Conference. In a sit-down with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols, The Beard talks about this and much more.

As far as the critics of his game and scoring streak, he says he tries to block it all out, especially when it comes from ex-NBA players. James says he did it as a necessity to win and carry his team because of so many injuries. He also says that the Rockets can find form after the All-Star break when everyone is healthy.

Harden also makes a case for himself as MVP and how it’s like comparing to Wilt Chamberlain.
