Josh Gordon Shares His Battle with Substance Abuse in New Documentary

The story of Josh Gordon has been interesting. He was one of the most explosive wide receivers in the league when he was playing for the Cleveland Browns and managed to become one of the best at his position, even with no elite quarterback play when he was there.

His only problem? His battle with drugs.

He was suspended numerous times by the NFL for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, so much that he was expelled with no reinstatement.

He tried to appeal and come back a number of times, but ultimately, he returned to rehab.

In this UNINTERRUPTED documentary, Josh sits down and speaks on his spiral out of the league and why he wants to get better. He explained how things got to a point where he was out of control, how he was enabled for most of his life and when he finally hit rock bottom. It’s a very personal look inside his life through the ups and the downs and might make you understand his struggle and story a little better. Hopefully, he can stay on the right path and make his way back to the NFL.

“I’ve used alcohol on many, many occasions, Xanax on many occasions, cocaine several occasions, marijuana most of my life, codeine, cough syrup, promethazine is very prevalent where I’m from. It’s what I grew up using. I’ve been enabled most of my life, honestly. I mean, I’ve been enabled by coaches, teachers, professors; everybody pretty much gave me a second chance because of my ability.”
