Justin Timberlake Becomes NBA Minority Owner Of The Memphis Grizzlies

With the likes of musical entertainers like Jay-Z (Nets) and Usher (Cavaliers) already part owners in the NBA, Justin Timberlake joins the small club of entertainment owners of the NBA with the Memphis Grizzlies. Fans within the city of Memphis were previously skeptical about the franchise staying in the city (formerly of Vancouver) but now can breathe a sigh of relief with JT taking part in ownership of the team.

Justin, a Memphis native, now joins billionaire Robert Pera (majority owner) and other local Memphis leaders with preparations to relaunch the team as a major franchise of the NBA. Pera is a former Apple engineer that started Ubiquiti Networks, but back in June he agreed to buy the team from Michael Heisley for $350M. The NBA has yet to approve the final purchase of the team, but all signs are indicating yes.
