During yesterday’s NBA Finals press conference, it was Draymond Green who said that Kawhi Leonard is so dominant on the court, but he does it in a different way. When Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, LeBron James and Damian Lillard dominate a game, it’s very apparent. When Kawhi does it, its only effective but doesn’t look pretty.
Clearly, the Toronto Raptors would be not have made it to the NBA Finals if it wasn’t for Leonard. Not only because of his game-winning heroics but because of his smoldering defense and his way to take over offensively every game.
During his press conference, Leonard was asked about being famous like other players in the league and he said that doesn’t matter to him.
All Kawhi cares about is having fun on the court.
The Raptors take on the Golden State Warriors tonight in Game 1 of the NBA Finals and considering they swept Dub Nation in the regular season, they might actually have a chance to win a few games. That is if Leonard isn’t still hurt and the Warriors don’t go off with the shooting.
