M.J.’s Hornets ensures Kemba’s not going anywhere
Before the Charlotte Hornets kick off their 2015 season, Michael Jordan and their front office officially ink Kemba Walker to a multi-year extension. The former standout Connecticut point guard has been hindered by a knee contusion, and is being targeted for a game time decision tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Entering the fourth year of his career, Kemba’s managed to average nearly 18 points a game and 6 assist per game and has a high upside to become a legit star in the league. This comeS just months after the team agreed to term with his newly formed backcourt cohort Lance Stephenson, who landed a 3-year, $27 million deal – far less than he would’ve received with the Indiana Pacers.
Team owner, Michael Jordan has been very adamant on winning his seventh ring and takes the next step into ensuring his core nucleus stays in-tact. We just hope Al Jefferson doesn’t pull another 2014 playoffs in the near future, which some questioned his heart to play through a “regular season” injury.
