Kevin Durant Gives Props to Raptors, Says “They’re Here” to Compete

Though last year the Toronto Raptors were atop of the Eastern Conference and poised to go to the NBA Finals, they were stopped once more by LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The result? They blew the team up.

Now with Kawhi Leonard, they’re back at the top of the East, and at almost halfway through the season at the top of the NBA standings with the best record in the league.

Last night, they beat the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena 113-93 for the second time this season, shocking the Oakland crowd. Though they played without Leonard, Kyle Lowry and company still managed to get the W against the Dubs.

After the game, Kevin Durant was asked about the team and what he thinks.

He refuted any misconceptions that they’re a “young team” or an “up and coming” team, saying they have a good mix of veterans, champions and young players, as well as new coach and they’re a team to take serious this season.
