He’s staying in Cleveland for now
Kevin Love‘s been in the midst of some minor controversy lately, but he made sure to put it all to rest on Friday after shoot around before the Cleveland Cavaliers face the Boston Celtics.
After a report came out that he was thinking of joining the Los Angeles Lakers next season when he hits free agency, Love decided to shoot that bird down with one line. Specifically, comparing it to the handshake with Kyrie Irving everyone has been accusing them of doing a “smoking” sign at a game to celebrate.
“Whatever [people assumed] we were doing with our hands was about as true as me going to the Lakers. I mean, I don’t know why it was so hard for people to realize that we were actually curling our mustache. I guess because I had my fingers in the wrong place. Looking at the tape, film don’t lie, it looks like we are doing something bad, but that wasn’t the case. “Going to the Lakers, no, that’s not [true]. I don’t know where somebody got that.”
Barring a completely meltdown in Cleveland, it doesn’t sound like Kevin is going anywhere any time soon. Lakers fans, you’re gonna have to breathe easy for 75 more games.
